Santa Muerte Statues

The blessing and veneration of your statue for Santa Muerte is a primary tool in setting up a high altar for your Santísima Muerte devotion.

Notice the cup of water. The water and vessel is important. So is fire of sorts. That's as simple as the poorest devotee has intentionally set up.

In my studies with other practitioners, the consistency of statue veneration is varied. There is a plethora of information about "right" ways of doing anything.

• Gather your tools, if you work a low altar (elemental) or high altar (occult) or other /any clean this area, you are welcoming Santa Muerte IN.

  
  

• CLEAR YOURSELF FIRST. YOU ARE A CONDUIT OF ENERGY. "STATIC" WILL-CLING-TO-YOU. A fresh shower before any work is desirable. No time on your hands? Cleanse yourself with a cleansing spray or incense.

• Cast your protective circle and create your space, ask for permission from source to allow invocation of Santa Muerte. At the most, ask for permission FROM Santa Muerte to commune.

Santa Muerte is CRONE energy. Santa Muerte is not "Sacred Mother" energy (that is, Isis), Santísima is Death, Rebirth, Transformation, Transmutation, Valleys, Passages, Underworld, Tunnels. Santa Muerte is underbelly, the depths in darkness.

The energy can be trickster , be cautious and intentional in your work.
